Final major project brief, with the challenge to develop a fresh and innovative visual solution that bridges the gap between physical and digital music.
Targeted towards the younger generation of record collectors with the aim to generate hype and sustain new interest in vinyl. Fostering connection, community, and celebration.
The solution is Spinpals—a new spin on virtual pets, connecting analog music to digital, and connecting people together through music.
A unique way for record collectors to log their vinyl listening activity by feeding it to a virtual pet. Keep track of your vinyl statistics over time as your Spinpal grows and learns based on your personal music taste.
For those in the 18 to the 35 year old demographic, Spinpals is reminiscent of the online virtual worlds we grew up on in the 2000s. It’s an app for the music enthusiast plugged into online and digital culture.
Share the vinyl experience with not only your Spinpal, but your real pals, too, and watch your Spinpal continually grow and change based on the music you feed it overtime.
